LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER – EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA – # 3819

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER for our Edmonton, AB client.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the President of the Company, the Project Manager will be responsible for project management, design coordination, and business development on land development projects for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities will include obtaining and managing work in and around Edmonton.

Residential / Commercial / Industrial neighborhood subdivision;

Medium and High density residential / Institutional / Commercial / Industrial on-site developments;

Preparation of proposals, Client management/relations, and other business development initiatives;

Provide mentorship and technical expertise to staff on design and coordination of land development project

Preparation and/or coordination of technical reports/studies to support land development projects;

Complete due diligence reports

Oversee preliminary and detailed engineering design of roadworks and site servicing including water supply systems, sanitary sewer and storm water management

Contract administration

Provide mentorship and technical expertise to junior staff on engineering of land development and municipal projects

Supervision of designers and engineers

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree in Civil Engineering with registration in good standing as a P.Eng.

5+ years’ related land and site development/municipal infrastructure projects in the City of Edmonton including site grading, servicing, storm water management and project coordination

Project management (PMP) designation considered an asset

Experience with all levels of municipal government, construction contractors and developers

Excellent written and verbal communications, and presentation skills

Demonstrated experience coordinating, liaising and managing architects, planners and other professionals that are typically part of project teams

Demonstrated project management and business development ability.

Driven to provide project delivery excellence.

Excellent management and supervisory skills for the development and coaching of team members.

High attention to detail, and an ability to work well as a team player

Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D including the Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis Package

Excellent MS Office skills

Experience with municipal infrastructure modelling software is an asset

Have a detailed understanding of system based project management principals

Be disciplined in project documentation

Be knowledgeable in the area of error reduction and detection techniques

Have the desire, motivation and ability to lead a team to achieve outstanding results
