JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Shop Coordinator will report to the Shop Manager & Staff Accountant.   They will be responsible for the initial set up on ongoing maintenance of the shop software (MIR). This will include ordering  and tracking  all inventories,  working  closely with the mechanics  to create accurate  repair work orders,  and generating  accurate  & timely maintenance  reports for management  review.

As the Shop Coordinator you will be responsible for the initial shop set-up, set up equipment  master files in MIR,  deal with Tractors, Trailers, set-up inspection parameters, set up equipment  groups, deal with Inventory – bar code all inventory, set up inventory  in MIR, establish  VRMS codes to be used,  spend time  in Hagersville  training  on MIR and deal with the ongoing shop coordination and Shop Inventory – order inventory, bar code inventory, count inventory monthly, equipment  master file, ensure equipment  masters  updated  with new equipment  activity (purchases sales).

You will also deal with all Shop Repair Orders – work with mechanics  to close repair orders,    mechanic  payroll tracking, scheduling  of repair orders, ensure mechanics  are using MIR in “real time” , train mechanics  on Mir, generate  maintenance  reports  for management  review.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Shop Administrative experience

5+ years experience

Strong MS Office Skills (Intermediate – Advanced)

Intermediate – Advanced Excel Skills – testing will be required

MIR software experience is a definite asset.

Manage oil lease maintenance operations and associated activities to achieve top quartile performance in safety, productivity and cost. Provide leadership to the dispatcher, foremen and field maintenance staff.

Plan oilfield maintenance activities across all oil companies and establish priorities in keeping with effective management of vehicles, equipment, materials, crew and cost. Approve terminations and verify that all disciplinary procedures have been followed and documented by site foremen. Document all damages and incidents in the field through the Site foremen. Ensure that all government and company requirements relating to safety, health and environment are strictly adhered to and enforced. Perform Emergency response duties as defined in the ERP and company standards.  Ensure that staffing is adequate and capable of satisfying the needs of the company in the most cost effective manner. Adjust labour up or down to maintain cost ratios according to the budget provided by management.

Participate in the interviewing, selection and appointment of all key personnel within the maintenance division.  Provide each employee in the maintenance division with a written list of task and duties. Perform any other duties assigned by the CEO and the President.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 10 years working experience in the oilfield maintenance industry required, with at least 6 years in a supervisory position.

Possess sufficient technical understanding of oil, gas, and pipeline facilities to be able to make informed decisions that ensure priorities are met and maintained.

Ability to recognize risks, hazards, losses and prevent conflicts between activities.

KAC Factory Campaigns

Assist with FC warranty issues as required;

Manages Reliability, Quality Assurance, Planning and the Warranty Team that represents and services the products handled by the Company.

Support and Communication

Communicate and liaise with customers, crews, and internal staff for projects as needed. Ensure all concerned parties are updated on project progress, throughout the design process. Coordinate all aspects of the design/drawing progress with other departments to ensure deliverables fit into the overall project plan. Provide technical sales support to sales force as required.

Product Knowledge

Attend training sessions to gain understanding of new products and technology advances on existing products. Have operational knowledge of Visio, Autocad, Word, Excel and Outlook. Possess intimate knowledge and keep up to date on broadcast and audio-visual systems components.

Sales Support:
