IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire a PLANT MANAGER for our Edmonton, Alberta client.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage plant performance

Ensure the plant operates within budget

Ensure the production of quality products are being met while looking for improvement on cost, quality, etc.

Manage, train, recruit and practice good management skills with staff

Regularly review production costs

Oversee plans and goals for the plant ensuring labour and productivity levels meet/exceed goals

Allocate resources to ensure end-product meets/exceeds customer expectations

Ensure future growth requirements can be met through new evaluations, supplemented by cost improvement, production levels and quality assurance

Ensure production levels are meeting quality and audit minimums

Ensure any necessary paperwork related to reporting, budgets, etc is completed in a timely manner

Ensure that service standards are exceeded by managing and liaising with operations and production to ensure success and fill-rate accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of a University degree in a technical or business related discipline or equivalent experience. Engineering degree highly desired

7+ years of experience in a plant environment. LEAN manufacturing experience highly desired

Results-oriented leader who openly communicates with all levels in an organization

Strong analytical skills with overall business knowledge and the ability to handle multiple priorities well

Strong management skills in building, managing and training a team

Must have excellent communication skills, sound judgement and be methodical in actions
