IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a AVP, RELATIONSHIP MANAGER for our Los Angeles, CA client.     


This position will be responsible for supporting the lending team in the preparation and submission for approval of new loan facilities, as well as for the processing of existing loan reviews, renewals and extensions.  


Participates in the syndicated loan acquisition and portfolio management process by providing credit and loan analytical expertise to a team of buy-side Loan Investment Officers. Prepares written credit underwriting memorandums for presentation to management. Assists in managing portfolio of syndicated commercial loans. Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial analysis and projections in Excel.

Screens and evaluates new syndicated loan transactions across a variety of C&I industry sectors. Participates in all phases of due diligence to include review of potential Borrower presentations and historical and projected financial statements; develops financial models including multiple cash flow scenario analyses; reviews credit agreements and other loan documentation; performs industry research/competitive analysis.

Analyzes financial statements to evaluate cash flow from operations, liquidity and leverage and to assess debt service capacity and asset coverage.

Contacts borrowers or syndications desk and research analysts as appropriate, for additional information and details related to loan request or clarification of financial materials and resources.

Develops written credit recommendations for presentation to management

Assists in review of loan documentation prior to funding and preparation of loans for boarding

Supports syndicated loan team by monitoring performance of borrowers, evaluating and monitoring covenant compliance and financial and industry trends, identifying problem credits. Sets up credit files for compliance monitoring trend analysis and risk ratings on an ongoing basis

Develops relationships with Loan Syndications Desks and identities potential new transactions

Builds understanding of Loan Syndications markets, loan trading levels and trends, and industry/market developments

Underwriting of new credit facilities

Analyzing financial statements, operating agreements, and cash flow statements

Modeling complex financial scenarios

Performing credit reviews

Partner with Senior Relationship Managers to manage exiting relationships and cultivate new ones.

Loan documentation negotiation

Market research and analysis

Ongoing portfolio management


College degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of experience in analyzing or underwriting medium sized and complex commercial credit (C&I transactions), which includes analyzing financial statements, cash flow analysis, familiarity with various industries, collateral issues and values, complex capital structures, determinations of enterprise value. Knowledge of the leveraged finance industry and experience in analyzing leveraged/high yield credits desirable.

Excellent knowledge of commercial credit policies and procedures.

Excellent credit analysis and accounting skills.

Strong ability to analyze and model historical and projected financials.

Strong ability to communicate skillfully and effectively in both verbal/written forms.

Good organizational skills.

Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for credit recommendations and decisions.

Ability to work well independently and in teams and interact effectively with all levels of Bank personnel and outside contacts.

Proficient in Word and Excel, preferably Advanced Excel.

Experience with Bloomberg tools and analytics preferred.

Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial analysis and projections in Excel

Recent large US Commercial Banking experience ( ex., JP Morgan, Goldman, Citibank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc.)

Strong Credit Analyst or Commercial Credit Underwriter experience

Large syndicated loans ($100M or higher)
