PART-TIME TOUR PLANNER, EDMONTON, AB, CANADA – #5266

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a PART-TIME TOUR PLANNER for our Edmonton, AB client.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Tour Planner, you have the opportunity to provide engaging and exceptional service  that will make our client’s guests feel valued and reflect the exceptional travel experience to come. Our client’s company is a people business, interacting with customers, tour partners, suppliers and co-workers. This can be a very busy office with variety and changing priorities.

You will be required to;

Work with vendors to plan the tours, you would be responsible for contacting hotels, attractions, etc., for planning/organizing the tours.

Prepare paperwork for the tour directors, passengers and drivers – itineraries, pre-tour letters, etc.

Answer telephone and email inquiries that require follow-up

Complete data entry using reservation system

Process payments, refunds, and invoicing.

Input information and data using Excel and other reports and research as requested.

Solve any issues that may arise.

This is an afternoon role from 1:00 – 5:00pm during weekdays or full days on Thursday and Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a Travel Agent is required.

Experience offering tour pricing, taxes, discounts and refunds.

Minimum of five years’ experience providing exceptional customer service.

Experience with data entry.

Strong computer skills, bookkeeping and administration skills.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Must be detail oriented, friendly and efficient with strong problem solving skills.

This individual should be personable, dependable, detailed and able to work on their own as well as part of a team.
