IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a PERSONAL / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT for our General Contractor client based in North Edmonton, Alberta.
Our client is looking for a PERSONAL ASSISTANT / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT who is looking to grow with this young Construction Company. They have been in business approximately 9 years and they are looking to be the leader in the industry.
Your role and duties will include but not be limited to:
Helping the President roll out workplace initiatives, as well as all daily administrative affairs. You will be responsible for sorting mail/e-mail, answering phones, taking messages, composing emails and letters and following up with customers on any and all inquiries.
You will also organize meetings, attend meetings, attend functions, take notes, arrange travel, manage records and monitor expenses as well as all filing, copying, scanning, ordering supplies and overseeing supply reordering.
This role requires independent judgment and keen decision-making skills. This role really is the right-hand assistant to the President. You will get the President organized and help running the office efficiently.
In addition, you will also help to ensure that project contracts and bids are complete and filed on time as well as also being responsible for coordinating activities, such as workshops and meetings, off the job site.
Due to the high degree of interaction with the public, you will be expected to have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, be confident, assertive, have the ability to multitask and wear many hats at any given time. You are polished and well-presented and can work sometimes sporadic hours. Deadlines are important to this position, so you will need to be good at prioritizing tasks to make sure that multiple deadlines are met.
High School Diploma is required.
Must have excellent computer skills – MS Office is a must.
Must be polished and professional in appearance.
Must have strong and confident personality with the ability to handle a variety of personalities in the office.
Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license. Must be willing to visit clients with the President.
