As a Millwright you are responsible for performing installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of stationary grain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete regular preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules, codes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with  established procedures.
  • Provide assistance to other Maintenance and Electrical team members when required.
  • Operate in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
  • Perform proper alignments within industry set standards.
  • Use plasma cutting tool and welding equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Experience with conveyor, material handling equipment, grain handled and processing equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and quality of work initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of welding (TIG, MIG, ARC, Plasma, Torch), rigging (proper hand signals, load balancing) and mobile equipment operation.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an industrial setting or comparable service work in the industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial, elevator and cleaning systems.
  • Must be a certified Journeyman with Trades Qualification or Interprovincial certification under the Red Seal Program.
  • The successful candidate will receive 3 weeks’ vacation, 10% short term incentive plan (bonus) option and the shift is 8 hours per day Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. They will also be on a rotation on-call schedule outside of 7:00am to 3:00pm.

RAIL LOAD-OUT ASSISTANT, ST. AGATHE, MB, CANADA – #5264

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a RAIL LOAD-OUT ASSISTANT for our Ste. Agathe, MB client.

This role is responsible for the efficient loading and shipment of oil and meal to customers via truck and railcar, as well as operating the shipping/receiving systems in the load-out facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate locomotive to move railcars in position for loading product.
  • Operate equipment (shuttle wagon, loader, skid steer, bobcat, etc) to load trucks and railcars with oil and meal.
  • Perform confined space activities with a bobcat for the purpose of cleaning storage bins.
  • Monitor conveyers, bins and legs; adjust and control levels and motors on the loading/unloading control system using PLC interface.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and potential damage and assist maintenance with repairs when needed.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping and manufacturing practices, including but not limited to: in-depth cleaning on exterior equipment, storage bins and tanks as per specifications and food safety regulations, and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Collect samples on raw ingredients, meal and oil from the finished shipping containers. Make appropriate adjustments to meet quality and production specifications set out by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Maintains logs for food safety audit purposes.
  • Generates and publishes shift reporting such as daily shipping and loading reports.
  • Perform grounds keeping and rail track maintenance duties.
  • Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:

Previous experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment, grain processing facility or railcar/locomotive operations an asset.

Education and Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge, skill and competence will be considered.

  • Experience maintaining and repairing equipment will be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with automated control systems will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends and stat holidays.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors year around.
  • Ability to work from heights.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This role is responsible for the efficient unloading of incoming canola seed and loading and shipment of oil and meal to customers via truck and railcar.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect product samples for analysis and keep them secured and organized to facilitate quick retrieval.
  • Operate equipment to load and unload trucks and railcars with seed, oil, and meal.
  • Operate locomotive to move railcars in position for loading and unloading product.
  • Perform confined space activities with a bobcat for the purpose of cleaning storage bins.
  • Inspect equipment, trucks, and railcars for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards.
  • Grade seed to ensure quality standards and correct processing and usage.
  • Weigh and measure product and compute storage capacities using scales and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate information for recordkeeping and prevent overages.
  • Monitor and move seed, oil, and meal to and from storage units to meet operational needs.
  • Communicate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Using SIPS, prepare documents such as bills of lading and shipping orders to ensure proper receipt, delivery, and accounting of product.
  • Collect and report all inbound and outbound weight and quality information.
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties as directed by Management
  • Follow all safe workplace practices, comply with all applicable safety and health rules, and actively participate in safety programs.
  • Provide a high-level of customer service through courteous and helpful interactions with customers.
  • Operates in accordance with the principles of the Company’s food safety certification program.
  • Reports any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

This position is responsible for; operating the production systems, plant housekeeping and quality analysis on process samples to optimize product quality, production efficiency while maintaining personal safety and food safety.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates canola crushing and/or refining systems and follows good manufacturing practices.
  • Performs tests using lab equipment on raw ingredients, meal and oil from the crude, refined, bleached and deodorized stages of the process, making appropriate process adjustments using the PLC system to meet quality and production specifications.
  • Monitors all equipment for wear and potential damage, performs minor repairs as required. Assists maintenance with other repairs when needed.
  • Performs in-depth cleaning of plant, plant equipment, pipes and tanks according to the cleaning schedule and maintains documentation as required.
  • Receive and offload process chemicals in accordance with safety procedures
  • Maintains and updates shift logs.
  • Operates in accordance with Federal, State/Provincial and regulations and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:

One (1) year experience working in a grain processing facility or manufacturing/industrial environment.

Education and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered

Demonstrated mechanical ability.

Demonstrated physical ability to perform the functions of the job.

Hours of operation are 6 to 6, 6 weeks days 6 weeks nights, 2 on 2 off, weekends are 3 days (either on or off) Monday to Friday
