Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, planning tasks throughout the process focusing on work orders.

  • Act as a leader to ensure employee and team member development, as well as performance in quality, service, and safety;
  • Master programmable logic controllers (PLCs);
  • Leverage knowledge and practical experience in operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability in facilities;
  • Motivate team members and empower them to achieve performance goals;
  • Conduct evaluations and allocate necessary resources to meet maintenance needs to support operations and maximize available labor;
  • Review and authorize regular and overtime hours to minimize labor costs;
  • Conduct reviews and recommend items for removal or addition for spare parts or spare parts rebuilds in the CMMS and workshop room through the red-tag process.

Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM



College Diploma in engineering or related field

Minimum of Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized maintenance environment

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general troubleshooting and preventive maintenance programs Project management skills

Practical knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Knowledge

Knowledge of AC/DC electricity

Initiative and high motivation

Excellent coaching, meeting facilitation, content presentation, and team-building skills

Proven ability in assessing mechanical capabilities

Must have fluent French and working proficiency in English

Must be permanent resident and legally entitled to work in Canada. No sponsorship is available for this role.

What You’ll Do:

Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications.

Use computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Sketchup to draft and design 2D and 3D models

Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings

Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate changes or modifications

Prepare drawings for construction projects, including structural, electrical, and mechanical components

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drawings

Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documents

As a Millwright you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair and troubleshooting of stationary grain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Complete regular preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules, codes and procedures.

Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.

Provide assistance to other Maintenance and Electrical team members when required.

Operate in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.

Perform proper alignments within industry set standards.

Use plasma cutting tool and welding equipment.


  • Ability to read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Experience with conveyor, material handling equipment, grain handled and processing equipment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and quality of work initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of welding (TIG, MIG, ARC, Plasma, Torch), rigging (proper hand signals, load balancing) and mobile equipment operation.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an industrial setting or comparable service work in the industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial, elevator and cleaning systems.
  • Must be a certified Journeyman with Trades Qualification or Interprovincial certification under the Red Seal Program.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.


  • Schedule: Weekly rotation of day shifts and evening shifts. Monday to Friday. Day shift is 8 AM to 4 PM and evening shift is 4 PM to 12 AM
  • A competitive salary, $39.34/hour with opportunity for overtime.
