IN DEMAND Recruitment is currently seeking a CIVIL GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER for a confidential client based in St. George, UT.

Our client is a well-established consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and engineering geology. Their expertise is instrumental in the early stages of construction projects, where they assess subsurface conditions, ensure environmental compliance, and verify the quality of construction materials. Their services help mitigate potential site challenges, inform foundation designs, and monitor construction quality, ensuring the long-term stability and safety of projects.

This firm has played a key role in some of the most significant geophysical projects in Utah, including a decade-long contract on major commercial and infrastructure developments. Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 2–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site testing and inspections at various construction projects in the St. George area.
  • Conduct structural fill compaction testing, MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall observations, deep foundation observations, and inspections of concrete and rebar.
  • Participate in special inspections as required.
  • Collaborate closely with registered professional engineers and contractors, gaining valuable industry experience.
