PLANT PROJECT ENGINEER, KITCHENER, ON, CANADA – #5398

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting a PLANT PROJECT ENGINEER for our Kitchener, ON client.  

Our client is a leading provider of environmental services with reliable, sustainable environmental services to diverse businesses for more than fifty years.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Evaluate technical and operable feasibility project components including industrial vessels, rotating equipment, control systems, tankage, piping, heat exchangers and related process infrastructure.

Evaluate equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Ensure environmental, health, safety compliance throughout project development and future operations.

Manage site engineering projects and provide technical support to plant operations and maintenance.

Work with management to develop capital improvement projects including budgeting, justification, management, and reporting.

Develop and manage elements of the facilities Process Safety Management program including coordinating HAZOPs, mechanical integrity, management of change, etc.

Support continuous program for existing processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical ideal)

Minimum 3+ years related work experience required, 5+ years preferred, in the chemical, petrochemical or refining industry.

Background in related unit operations (distillation, hydrotreating, pumps, compressors, reactors etc)

Well developed analytical and problem solving skills. Seeking someone that has a variety of experience in a plant environment.

Experience managing large capital projects, design through installation.

Experience with process optimization and troubleshooting

Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
