IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER for our client in the Tomball, TX area.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of MV/LV power distribution systems for energy and industrial process facilities. This role focuses on the engineering and integration of electrical systems within packaged power distribution (PDC) and MCC buildings used across the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems including switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, transformers, and associated equipment.

  • Develop and review electrical one-line diagrams, load lists, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and hazardous area plans.

  • Perform power system studies including short circuit, arc-flash, and protective device coordination using ETAP or SKM.

  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, API, and IEC.

  • Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and procurement activities.

  • Review customer, vendor, and EPC drawings to ensure technical accuracy and integration with project designs.

  • Assist with project execution planning, cost evaluations, and technical proposals.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, customers, and suppliers to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License required.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing MV/LV power systems for oil & gas, energy, or industrial process facilities.

  • Experience with switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS systems, and power system protection relays.

  • Familiarity with ETAP or SKM for electrical studies.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IEC electrical codes.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 20% domestically.

  • Ability to work in field environments as needed.
