Job Purpose and Impact 

As an Human Resources Quebec Leader, you will provide human resources services for the Quebec market. You will work from the Chambly plant and lead a team of human resources specialists in employee experience and labour relations for unionized and non-unionized employees. You will oversee performance management, employee engagement, labour relations, recognition programs, production staffing, onboarding and onboarding, conflict resolution, and dismissals and absences.

Key Accountabilities 

Supervise the team to provide meaningful and effective consulting services to the various the company locations in Quebec.

Manage labour relations and partner with the labour relations manager to manage collective agreements.

Lead the team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance and discipline.

Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as company policies, in the assigned market, working with legal resources and external consultants to interpret and implement complex or ambiguous policies.

Lead the team with a strong customer focus, a collaborative and facilitating environment, effective high performance, and a vision for continuous improvement.

Oversee and support change management for market-specific global HR solutions teams.

Collaborate with global HR solutions, regional leadership, centers of excellence, demand management, and global enterprise or functional teams for effective resource planning and partner feedback.

Leverage and apply processes and technologies to support service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Related Field

Minimum of four years of relevant work experience

Experience in labour relations and human resource generalist duties

Bilingual English and French (spoken and written)

Must be legally authorized to work for our company in Canada

Preferred Qualifications 

Two years of supervisory experience

Minimum of two years of labour relations experience

Position Information

Relocation assistance will not be provided.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in French Canadian and English. Has strong labour relations experience and has had previous leadership experience in leading a team. Is a collaborative communicator and is comfortable dealing with union negotiations, grievances, arbitrations.
