This is a non-union plant of approx. 20 – 30 employees!


Our client is a very well-known sports flooring corporation with many plants across the USA and Canada. Reporting into the VP Operations, the Production Manager will be in charge of all day to day operation of the plant. You will drive production and work with a 25 employee non-unionized team running a 24/5 operation. Our plant is 30,000 square foot working a 3 shift operation. (Days, Afternoon, Nights). The goal is to increase and create a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) team. You will be responsible for: Reducing scrap rate, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, finding efficiencies within the processes and introducing lean principles amongst day to day operations. There is a team leader for each shift reporting into the Production Manager.


The right candidate will have a technical or Mechanical engineering background. You will be a metric orientated individual. You will have a solid understanding of continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, be able to troubleshoot maintenance problems and you have implemented a lean culture within the plant in your prior experience. This candidate will be well organized, hands-on with the ability to walk the shop floor. An understanding of the plastics environment with the ability to become a change agent for the plant would be ideal. You will also come from a small to medium size plant/organization and you will understand a very hands-on approach towards operations, maintenance and employee well-being. Ability to identify inefficiencies, continuous improvement and implement lean principle procedures. Highlighting inefficiencies / areas for improvement and then implemented procedures / activities to address that need.
