IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a DIRECTOR OF SALES, RAIL MACHINERY for Regina, SK client.
Our client is a growing, dynamic and diverse group of companies. They seek a Director of Sales with experience in The Rail sector to maximize sales by continuing to build strong customer relationships in the North American Market.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage a team of 4 Territory Managers throughout North America in establishing strong relationships with customers.
Work with Vice President Sales in strategy development.
Work closely with the engineering team to provide custom solutions to the customer.
Manage all aspects of the Sales of Rail Equipment and services to the customers.
Manage a team of sales personnel to establish strong relationships with Rail customers with the main focus of maximizing sales and margin
Working with the VP of Sales –Direct Channel to develop an action plan to become the leader in the Rail industry for Maintenance of Way Rail equipment (1 year, 3 year, 5 year plan).
Establish strong relationships/partnerships with key customers.
Assist and manage Sales team in creating strong relationships and partnerships with key customers
Manage scheduled sales meetings with Team to keep them focused on the key opportunities
Manage sales reporting activities in regular sales meetings
Work with engineering team, estimating team, and Project Managers to provide Rail equipment solutions to our customers.
Identify and evaluate new Markets/Products and establish Brandt in the profitable ones.
Work with marketing team to promote and aid in product and brand awareness with the Rail Customers.
Prepare technical and commercial presentations and proposals and assist sales team to present to Customers Purchasing, Operations, and/or Engineering departments
Identify and resolve customer concerns working with Brandt Customer Service department
Prepare customer status reports, including activity, closing, follow up, and prospects reports as required
Establish sales and gross margin targets with and for your sales team
Become the face of our client to the Rail Industry boosting our presents and contribution in the way of Equipment manufacturing to the Rail Industry.
Plan and represent our client in an exciting and positive light at industry trade shows and conventions
65% travel is required.
5 years of Sales management and industry experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the rail industry
Strong customer service skills
Ability to build relationships and leave a sales team within North America
Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally
Applicants must have a positive attitude and be self-directed.
Management experience of a sales team.
Experience selling in the Rail sector or custom machinery sales experience is very acceptable.
Travel of 60% can be expected to key major cities in North America.
The position will be based in Saskatchewan.
