IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting a REMOTE PRODUCT ACCOUNT MANAGER – USA for the Marcellus Shale area, ideally based in Pennsylvania.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the US Account Manager is responsible for selling our client’s products in the United States. They will provide support, direction and expertise in developing the US sales and marketing strategic direction. As a member of the Sales and Marketing team, they support the Argus corporate goals, principles and vision.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Identify key sales opportunities for our client, through networking, building relationships and market knowledge/ research. Deliver on opportunities to meet sales targets and KPIs.
- Build and nurture customer relationships that are productive and show promise for our client and their growth.
- Utilize market research to identify and validate opportunities. Explore and analyze global markets while effectively managing risk.
- Implement sales action plans for targeted markets and customers. Communicate actions and updates to the Sales Director.
- Lead the identification of new or expanded opportunities for revenue generation and strategic partnerships.
- Perform presentations to audiences at all levels of industry; from the field to E.P.C.s; End Users and at conferences.
- In conjunction with the Sales Director, monitor performance of customer relations, ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Define requirements for marketing and provide input to the development of marketing tools and trade show materials.
- Maintain cohesive relationships with all internal stakeholders such as inside and outside sales, engineering, production, procurement and the senior leadership team.
- Provide insight, information or conceptual product proposals to Engineering for new product lines to be considered.
- Provide ongoing account management support to clients on projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Meet regularly with Sales Director to analyze, discuss, and provide constructive feedback on sales performance. Provide input on market opportunities, and future market development goals.
- Accurately maintain database (e.g. CRM, Excel) of prospective/ current customer information. Manage sales and marketing activity, leads, tracking through CRM.
- Report weekly on the US Sales activities to the Sales Director, providing additional updates to Leadership as requested. Manufacturer’s Representatives:
- Promote our client’s products with current Manufacturer’s Representatives and prospective customers, to grow the market and customer base.
- Build and maintain a collaborative, positive, and inclusive culture within the network of Manufacturer’s Representatives, creating true business partnerships.
- Complete Annual performance evaluations for all Manufacturer’s Representatives, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Tools and Processes:
- Follow the Sales playbook, ensuring you are appropriately trained and competent in delivery. Provide feedback on improvements to the Sales Director.
- Maintain your technical and product knowledge in order to effectively support customers.
- Adhere to the Quotation Development and follow up process, ensuring that parameters are identified, users are trained in the process and the effectiveness of the process is evaluated.
- Ensure you are trained on and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and processes for the department. Identify opportunities for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical training or post-secondary education in Business Management is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in US sales & marketing, preferably in a Manufacturing environment, with proven results.
- Experience selling through a network is an asset.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and Project Management skills.
- Strong leadership and training skills a must to articulate the vision, goals and corporate objectives to our Manufacturer’s Representatives Network.
- Able to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, computer software related to business operations (ERP) and CRM systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft AX preferred.
- General knowledge of products and services in the oil and gas industry.
