Opportunity to serve as senior member of marketing and sales coast to coast team of specialists providing life science clients with state of the art instrumentation, reagents, consumables and solutions 24 x 7.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Instrument and consumables company selling to the clinical and molecular biology marketplace has an exciting opportunity for a VP Sales and Marketing.

Serve as senior member of the sales and marketing team.

Mentor and manage both sales and marketing staff to achieve KPI’s, sales targets, and marketing objectives.

Assist with quotations, RFP’s and tenders.

Attend and represent company at meetings and shows.

Provide forecasts and reports using Salesforce.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:

B.Sc. or experience equivalent.

6 -8 years of hands on sales/marketing experience in the clinical and molecular biology sector.

At least 6 years management background.

Strong leadership skills and highly motivated to succeed.

Outstanding sales and management track record.

Some travel – require valid passport allowing US travel.

SALES CONSULTANT – CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA – # 5032

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a SALES CONSULTANT for our Calgary, AB client.

This territory will be based out of Calgary, but will cover travel from south of Red Deer, to Lethbridge, to Medicine Hat and beyond.

Our client is expanding their team and looking for a dynamic sales professional to capitalize on opportunities and build their existing client base, develop sales strategies and take advantage of opportunities in the designated territory.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ability to develop and manage relationships with buyers and influencers over an extended cycle.

Highly developed presentation, facilitation skills, and the ability to communicate with diverse groups through the design process.

Responsiveness and being action-oriented with the ability to align product and design proposals with customer needs, budgets, and preferences.

Able to learn our client’s design approach, characteristics of the product lines, product safety requirements, and the procurement practices of various types of customers.

Your track record demonstrates that you have superior talent when it comes to prioritizing and completing tasks; initiating and developing positive business relationships; maintaining focus on goals; and placing a high value on customers and their issues. Your record also speaks to your ability to take personal responsibility and action toward learning and implementing new ideas, methods, and technologies; to use initiative and make progress without managerial oversight.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-secondary education preferred

Experience selling to the public sector is considered an asset

Familiarity with construction industry practices is required

Architectural technology/landscape architecture experience would be an asset, or a similar background

Vehicle and valid driver’s license – some travel required

Must have strong computer skills and strong negotiation skills

Experience in a construction environment

AutoCAD and blueprint knowledge

Experience working in a customer service role

Experience within a project and sales team

Strong written and verbal communication skills
