FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER, BRAMPTON, ON – #5780
IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire a FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER for our client in Brampton, ON.
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize the performance of a diverse fleet of heavy-duty and support equipment. This role is responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations while developing high-performing maintenance teams and maintaining strong safety and compliance standards.

Location: Brampton, ON (On-site)
Schedule: Afternoon Shift | Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 base salary + bonus eligibility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure fleet availability, safety, and reliability to meet operational demands
Lead preventive maintenance programs and conduct regular fleet and shop evaluations
Optimize utilization of fleet assets and maintenance resources
Review and manage capital equipment requests in alignment with corporate objectives
Oversee staffing, training, and performance of maintenance teams
Maintain effective use of fleet and maintenance management systems
Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance across all maintenance operations
Support budgeting, cost control initiatives, and financial review timelines
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through coaching and development
Ensure maintenance facilities are clean, organized, and operating efficiently
Provide training and presentations in a professional and engaging manner
Directly supervise a team of front-line employees, including licensed technicians, apprentices, and welders
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in fleet or maintenance operations
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
- Experience leading technicians/mechanics in a unionized environment
- 310T License (strong asset)
