IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for a LEAD INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC / MILLWRIGHT for our London, ON client. (Automotive related industry)

This plant has robotic welding and assembly lines (65 Motoman and Fanuc robots), with some CNC machining processes.  This position will be the Lead Millwright, hands-on the tools, but delegating work to the Afternoon Shift Millwright, managing contractors, vendors and inventories.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Check equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.;

Determine the best way to repair in order to reduce production stoppages;

Carry out the diagnosis and determine the course of action and carry out preventive maintenance work;

Analyze, diagnose, and perform welding, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation maintenance tasks;

Disassemble, clean, repair, renovate, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation;

Carry out work according to existing prudent work methods.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certification
  • 5+ Years of Experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and/or welding;
  • Have good computer skills;
  • Have a positive attitude, be autonomous, and be a good communicator;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
