IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire JOURNEYMAN WELDERS for our Lethbridge, AB client.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Our client is a privately owned Canadian company that can trace its origins back to the late 1990s produces the largest, most durable, most heavy duty, truly portable structure in the industry.

In the late 2000s the company’s focus evolved to include a similar factory built product that was intended for permanent installations of multiple units that were site connected to create larger complete structures. The unique size and robust nature of the EPB ushered in a new era for modular construction that focused on commercial / municipal facilities instead of the traditional residential and retail occupancies. Our client manufactures from a 100,000 sq.ft facility located in Lethbridge, Canada and installs modular structures throughout Canada and the US.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Welders to join their team. As a Journeyman Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our products through proficient welding techniques and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts and structures.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the correct welding process and materials required.

Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely.

Inspect and test welds to identify defects and ensure conformance with quality and safety standards.

Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper functionality.

Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.

Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, fitters, and supervisors, to meet project goals and deadlines.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior welders or apprentices when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Journeyman Welder certification.

Proven experience as a Journeyman Welder, demonstrating expertise in welding processes and techniques.

Strong understanding of welding equipment operation and maintenance.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the welding industry.

Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions, including overhead welding and confined spaces.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
