IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire a SENIOR TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE for a client in Morristown, TN.  (Plastics & Polymers)

Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of innovation and customer success? Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Services Representative to act as a trusted advisor for leading companies in plastics manufacturing, polymer processing, and compounding.

In this high-impact role, you’ll become the go-to expert for major accounts—helping solve complex challenges, driving product breakthroughs, and representing the company on the global stage at conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as the frontline technical expert for customers, sales teams, and partners—delivering clear guidance on product capabilities and applications.

Troubleshoot plastics processing and compounding challenges at customer sites, offering innovative and practical solutions that deliver real results.

Lead investigations into customer concerns, conducting root-cause analysis and providing critical insights back to product development.

Represent the company at industry events—from technical seminars to global trade shows—through presentations, webinars, and publications.

Maintain clear and concise reporting, including call reports, project updates, and monthly activity summaries.

Mentor colleagues by sharing best practices in polymers, compounding, extrusion, and color concentrate technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years in polymer processing, plastics manufacturing, or technical services, with at least 3 years supporting major accounts or leading technical projects.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of plastics compounding, extrusion, injection molding, and processing technologies.
  • Skills: Exceptional communicator and problem-solver, with the ability to simplify complex technical details for any audience.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with CRM systems and a history of industry leadership (published papers, conference presentations, or technical contributions).
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of S. permanent residency (green card) process.
