WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Lead daily operations for a chemical production unit, with direct accountability for output, team performance, and product quality.

Manage and develop a 20+ person team operating in a dynamic batch-manufacturing environment.

Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and internal quality protocols while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.

Oversee hands-on production processes and drive efficiency using SPC, SQC, and digital tracking tools such as Gantt systems.

Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of reactors, dryers, hoppers, conveying equipment, packaging lines, and supporting utilities (hot oil, chillers, cryogenic systems, heat exchangers, etc.).

Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for OOS, CAPA, and deviation events.

Champion continuous improvement in cost control, throughput, reliability, and housekeeping.

Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Engineering, EHS, Technology, Logistics, and Maintenance teams.

Participate in MOC reviews, safety assessments, and HAZOP processes.

Support training, coaching, and performance accountability for all unit personnel.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial chemical manufacturing, with proven leadership or supervisory responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processing equipment and utilities, including reactors, dryers, hoppers, conveyors, heat transfer systems, and more.
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001, chemical quality systems, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA).
  • A track record of strong people leadership, real-time problem solving, and operational excellence.
  • Experience with process optimization, preventive maintenance, and cross-department collaboration.

This position oversees process control systems, site integrity programs, and core process safety management activities. The role supports daily plant operations and long-term reliability by maintaining compliance with Guidance Notes, process control standards, and all regulatory and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:  

  1. Process Control & Automation

Plan, schedule, and execute process control and automation projects.

Design and implement control system upgrades and changes (PLC/DCS/SCADA).

Maintain process historian tools, process transparency, alarms, and reporting functions.

Education & Experience
