JOB DESCRIPTION:

They closely monitor each step of the design and manufacturing process to ensure that castings match specifications and exceed expectations.
Position Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team during the afternoon shift. In this critical role, you will direct all maintenance-related activities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, as well as foundry casting machinery, buildings, and grounds. You will be accountable for the safety, productivity, and quality of work performed by your team while actively participating in maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of electricians, mechanics, and clean-up personnel, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Hands-On Leadership: Work alongside your team in performing maintenance tasks, coordinating closely with maintenance planners, purchasing, and vendors to ensure timely equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and review check sheets and preventive maintenance (PM) records, ensuring that all action items are addressed promptly and accurately.
- Equipment Efficiency: Monitor and assess the uptime and efficiency of production equipment, working collaboratively with other supervisors to identify and implement improvements.
- Training & Safety: Train and qualify employees on essential functions and safety practices, ensuring a safe working environment and preventing unsafe conditions.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and injuries, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, manage waste disposal, and handle administrative tasks such as report writing and expenditure approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with foundry casting machinery is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
