IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently seeking an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER for our client, a global manufacturing organization and industry leader serving customers throughout North America and Europe.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving reliability, driving automation initiatives, and making a direct impact on plant performance within a high-speed manufacturing environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in supporting plant reliability, uptime, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
This position is highly visible and offers significant influence across operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, and capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical and automation systems, supporting reliability initiatives, improving equipment performance, and driving long-term operational improvements throughout the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Engineering & Plant Support
• Provide hands-on electrical engineering support to daily manufacturing operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, controls, and automation-related issues
• Support plant uptime, reliability, and production performance initiatives
• Analyze equipment failures and participate in root cause investigations
• Develop and implement corrective actions to improve long-term equipment performance
Automation & Controls
• Support and optimize PLCs, motor control centers, drives, instrumentation, automation systems, and industrial networks
• Assist with control system improvements and automation upgrades
• Support commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
• Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Support reliability-centered maintenance and equipment improvement initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve overall plant productivity
Capital Projects & Technical Support
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and modernization initiatives
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Assist with project planning, execution, commissioning, and startup activities
• Maintain electrical documentation, schematics, equipment records, and technical drawings
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical standards, codes, and regulations
• Support plant safety initiatives and safe work practices
• Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the facility
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• 2–5+ years of electrical engineering experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Experience supporting high-speed manufacturing operations strongly preferred
• Packaging, pulp & paper, converting, or other process manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, motors, drives, PLCs, controls, instrumentation, and industrial automation
• Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
• Experience supporting reliability and maintenance improvement initiatives
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience considered an asset

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Base Salary: $115,000 – $130,000+ DOE
