IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Site Leader – Maintenance & Reliability for our client, a growing global chemical organization.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance through the execution of best-in-class maintenance strategies, asset integrity programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting into site leadership, the Site Leader – Maintenance & Reliability is accountable for the overall maintenance and reliability performance of the facility. This includes driving preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, improving asset performance, and leading a multidisciplinary team focused on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance & Reliability Leadership

  • Lead and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance programs
  • Oversee maintenance execution, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work delivery
  • Drive reliability initiatives and monitor asset performance to maximize uptime
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance
  • Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Champion best practices in maintenance and reliability across the site

Planning, Systems & Asset Management

  • Oversee CMMS utilization, ensuring data integrity and effective work management
  • Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts inventory control
  • Support capital project planning, design reviews, and equipment installations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and EHS teams to optimize operations
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure follow-through on action items
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards (OSHA, API, ASME, ISO)

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance and reliability personnel across multiple disciplines
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
  • Drive safety leadership and reinforce a strong safety-first culture

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments (chemical industry preferred)
  • Proven expertise in maintenance management, reliability systems, and asset lifecycle optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance planning processes
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
