MAINTENANCE LEADER, CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA, USA – #5812

THE OPPORTUNITY

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a MAINTENANCE LEADER for our client, a leading organization operating within a high-speed beverage manufacturing environment based in City of Industry, CA.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving maintenance execution, equipment reliability, and operational uptime within a fast-paced, automated production facility. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring plant performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting into site leadership, the Maintenance Leader is responsible for the day-to-day execution of maintenance activities, including preventative, corrective, and reliability-focused work.

This role works closely with operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support overall plant efficiency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Execution & Reliability

  • Lead daily maintenance activities across a high-speed production environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Drive preventative maintenance programs and support long-term reliability strategies
  • Ensure optimal performance of automated production equipment

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency
  • Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution through CMMS systems
  • Analyze performance trends and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations and production teams to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Support a proactive maintenance culture focused on performance and accountability
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Planning & Systems

  • Utilize CMMS (SAP or similar) to manage maintenance activities
  • Support planning, scheduling, and tracking of maintenance work
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of maintenance performance

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing environments
  • Experience within high-speed, high-volume production (beverage, food, dairy, packaging, or CPG preferred)

Technical Capability

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across:
    • Electrical
    • Mechanical
    • Pneumatic
    • Hydraulic systems
  • Experience working within automated production environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $90,000 – $120,000
  • Bonus: 13%
