Overview
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of roll-formed steel products that is making a significant investment in its quality systems as it prepares to achieve ISO 9001 certification. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Quality Supervisor who enjoys building processes, driving continuous improvement, and making a measurable impact on manufacturing operations.
Working closely with the Corporate Quality Manager and Plant Manager, you will play a key role in implementing and supporting the site’s Quality Management System (QMS), improving product quality, reducing variation, and establishing standardized quality processes across the operation.
What You’ll Do
As the Quality Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day quality activities while helping the organization strengthen its quality culture and achieve ISO certification.
You will:
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Standardize quality procedures, documentation, inspection methods, testing protocols, corrective actions, and reporting processes.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, and Plant Leadership to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead internal quality initiatives while supporting supplier audits, customer audits, and ISO compliance activities.
- Analyze quality data, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Utilize quality tools including SPC, capability studies, PPAP, FAI, Cpk, 8D, FMEA, and Gage R&R.
- Develop quality procedures and ensure products consistently meet customer specifications.
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards, testing procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain quality records and monitor trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Help prepare the facility for successful ISO 9001 certification.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a hands-on manufacturing quality professional who enjoys working on the plant floor, solving problems, and improving processes. You are collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrive in an environment where you can influence quality culture while working alongside operations and engineering teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of quality leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in metal forming, roll forming, stamping, fabrication, or similar manufacturing processes is strongly preferred.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality methodologies including 8D, FMEA, SPC, Gage R&R, Cpk, PPAP, and structured root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
- Engineering, Manufacturing, or related degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing quality experience will also be considered.
