IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently assisting a confidential client in their search for an experienced SALES REPRESENTATIVE to manage Ontario (primary) and portions of Quebec.

With manufacturing operations in both Canada and the United States, they have built an outstanding reputation for technical expertise, collaborative partnerships, exceptional customer service, and long-term client relationships.

Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is seeking a motivated, results-oriented sales professional to drive business development, strengthen existing customer relationships, and expand market share throughout Ontario and Quebec.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to Sales Leadership, the Sales Representative will be responsible for managing an established territory while identifying and developing new business opportunities throughout Ontario and parts of Quebec.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving annual sales and gross margin objectives by growing existing accounts, developing new customers, and expanding market penetration across targeted industries. This individual will work closely with Product Development and Technical Service teams to provide customer-focused solutions while supporting the organization’s long-term commercial growth strategy.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Territory & Sales Management

  • Meet or exceed annual sales volume and gross margin objectives through proactive territory management.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory management plan, including customer call frequency, sales mix, growth objectives, and account development strategies.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize sales activities to align with overall commercial objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales opportunity data to support Product Development and Technical Service priorities.

Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and secure new customers, markets, and industry segments to support continued business growth.
  • Expand the customer base while reducing reliance on large key accounts.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through strategic prospecting and relationship development.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share throughout the assigned territory.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and consultative sales support.
  • Plan and prepare for customer meetings two to three weeks in advance, including professional agendas, objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Product Development and Technical Service teams to deliver innovative customer solutions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of B2B sales experience within the plastics industry.
  • Strongly preferred experience selling masterbatches, additives, and colour concentrates.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets.
  • Experience managing a defined sales territory while developing strategic customer pipelines.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ontario and portions of Quebec.

Preferred

  • Previous leadership experience is considered an asset but is not required.
